Bristol Brewery LogoAsking any Beer Friend what their favorite brewery is has proven to be a dangerous endeavor.  Expect hours of conversation as the Beer Friend presents information and opines about the brewery and it’s beer, then retracts some of the more outlandish statements, and then may even pass out from beer conversation overload.  Once he wakes up and has a coffee, ask what his top five are and you’ll be much better off.  In this Beer Friends top five is Bristol Brewing Company in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Hello Beer Friends Nation!

After an exciting first two rounds, the strong have survived. These are the premier beers of the tournament. We have strong winners in Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout and last years winner, Fat Tire getting knocked off by first year Breckenridge Breweries 471 Small Batch Double IPA. Hello Beer Friends!

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day!  Please take some time to reflect on all our freedoms and values today – what people have fought for us and continue to fight today.  Many of the Beer Friends get involved in social issues on their own time and we encourage you to as well.

Results for the past week:

January 8 – Bavaria Holland Beer – 28.57% have tried it

January 9 - Drie Fonteinen Kriek – 0% have tried… come on people!  Travel and drink a little! (Beer Friends included)

January 10 - Jerome Cerveza Rubia – 0% have tried… again – travel to Argentina for this Belgian White Ale

January 11 – Compass IPA – 66.67% have tried this beer – Colorado breweries!

January 12 – Belhaven Wee Heavy – 0% have tried – next time I’m in Scotland this is on my to-do list.

January 13 – Hades Belgian Style Ale – 50% have tried – Great Divide is very easy to get to in Denver… hint hint.

January 14 – Arabier – 0% have tried – granted it’s a Summer seasonal – so for the Summer to-do list

January 15 - Boscos Hefeweizen – 0% have tried – there is no excuse… Memphis is a quick drive or flight – grab a Boscos and some BBQ

January 16 - Alaskan Oatmeal Stout – 100% have tried!  There we go!
