Ah March… Spring Training starts – the weather improves, March Madness for College Basketball, and of course the Daily Beer Calendar Poll, it’s what I get up for in the morning…
This is the third bre from Unibroue Brewery in Chambly, Canada and for good reason. Unibroue has quite the rep in the craft brewing community and the Beer Friends certainly enjoyed their taste at the Good Sh*t Event at Rattle N Hum.
Boom goes the Dynamite! and another month of Daily Beer Calendar polls and results… This last round takes us into March – which means the Second Annual BFFF! Stay tuned for details!
Hello Beer Friends Nation! Nothing says love more than ignoring that girlfriend/boyfriend and going online to TheBeerFriends.com to vote on some beers! This week we (again) travel all over for a variety of styles! Beer! Democracy!
February 14th – Sapporo Reserve Remember the last time you went to that half off sushi joint, sake bombs and a Sapporo chaser? Don’t be mistaken… this ain’t the same beer – this one has Reserve on the Label…
These next few days the Beer Calendar racks up the miles in multiple countries and multiple styles… vote and check back often for results.
February 8th – Twisted Thistle IPA for Belhaven Brewery Company in Dunbar, Scotland. Last time we visited Dunbar for the Belhaven Brewery Company it was for a malty brew that reminded you of a good highland scotch whiskey – now it’s for a IPA. Challenger and Cascade are the main hops used but the full malt flavor is what stands out.
Democracy now! Stand in line and wait your turn for the little voting booth with the shower curtain! Leave no hanging chads! (Isn’t that joke burned out by now?) One visit, five votes and check back for results…
The beer of the day comes from Portland, Maine – home of Allagash Brewing Co. Allagash specializes in Belgian beer styles so you know Phil was excited. Ironically, the Beer Friends just sampled Allagash Four – check out the video here.
The last daily beer calendar of the month! Out to Park City, Utah to try First Amendment Lager from Wasatch Brew Pub and Brewery. This bottle conditioned light lager won a Gold Medal in the World Beer Cup in 2003 for American-style Premium Lager – and now we see who’s checked out this award winner.
