Hello Beer Friends Nation!
Fresh off (recovering) our Live Blog of Idle Hands Sierra Nevada Night we have this review and blind taste test of Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Now Torpedo was the first beer we reviewed and just recently they followed the latest trend in craft beer… canning craft beers. In this review we revisit Sierra Nevada Torpedo and give a rating based on the canned version along with a discussion of the pros and cons of canning beers. This is a little longer video – but a two parter! Consider this part of our “Ken Burns” series of reviews. Cans! Nostalgia! Famous Documentarians!

You should do this again sometime across other breweries. Such as, can you tell the difference between Fat Tire bottled/canned and other bottled/canned brews for other breweries — hell, even throw in Coors or Budweiser. I would like to see if the bottled/canned taste differences is across the spectrum or on a per-brewery basis.

I taste no difference at all, if anything cans protect the beer better then bottles. Add to the fact that cans are way easier to recycle and more efficient (basically we get more back) and you have a winner. Around my area (Chicago) we have been seeing a slow shift towards cans, but this spring/summer has unleashed an explosion.
Currently drinking, Sierra Nevada, from a can.

Also want to add I have been drinking craft beer for over a decade (In my late 20s) and the first beer I drank was actually a Sierra Nevada… my dad schooled me well, but at this point I have a more developed palate then he does.
Good review!
